National Junk Food Day Brunch by Chef Cecil G
So, I invited my fraternity brother Chef Cecil G to my home in an effort to pay homage to National Junk Food Day. We decided to make this meal for friends and his lovely wife and beautiful daughter. Please feel free to try these fun recipes any day of the year in remembrance of this wondrous holiday.
Cheezy Cheeto Omelette
3 large eggs
1/4 cup almond milk
1 cup chopped cheetos
1 tablespoon of butter
Salt to taste
Whip the eggs and cheetos in a medium bowl until well incorporated.
In a medium sauté pan add butter until melted, then add cheeto-egg mixture and stir until fully cooked and Cheetos are mostly melted.
Fold eggs onto plate, garnish with more crushed Cheetos
Cinnamon Waffle with Reese’s Icing
I pack large cinnamon rolls with icing (cylinder pack)
8 oz. cream cheese
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoon white sugar
6 chopped Reese’s cups
On a hot waffle iron place a cinnamon roll on each eye and press down to cook.
Sauce
In a larger bowl add softened cream cheese, vanilla, sugar and Reese’s cups. With a hard whisk mix ingredients together until well mixed and incorporated
Frosted Flakes Fried Chicken
1 whole chicken broken down to fryer pieces
2 cup flour
4 cup crushed frosted flakes
4 eggs whipped in bowl
1 tablespoon paprika
4 tablespoon Cajun
1 tablespoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
Oil for frying
Lime for finish
Mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper
Mix Cajun spice mix with frosted flakes
Bread chicken by dredging in flour, followed by eggs, finish with the frosted flakes.
Once all your chicken is breaded, drop your chicken one by one and cook golden brown and fully cooked.
Squeeze lime when fresh out the fryer.
