Beethoven Francois has created a beautifully decorated and delicious coffee house, eatery and co-working space in Kafe Hub, located at 1939 BROADWAY RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA 33404,
Only steps from the sandy beaches of Rivera Beach in Palm Beach County, I found some of the most delicious flatbreads in the area. I am a fan of the flatbreads at Season’s 52, and Kafe Hub gave them a run for their money!
I started out with the Short Rib (Beef) Flatbread ($12.40). The meat was irresistibly tender and supported by a boldly flavored house-made, Memphis hickory-tinged sauce that was topped off with semi-cooked red onions that released a less astringent taste than the raw version. The flatbread overall was tasty—a little on the salty side, but still a dish I would order again and recommend to a lover of ribs. A MUST HAVE!
Following my carnivorous flatbread, I decided to give my vegan friends a shot out and ordered the Vegan Delight Flatbread ($9.50) which ended up being my favorite flatbread. The taste was amazing. Topped with fresh veggies, avocado and a secret, yet savory in-house sauce, this is a MUST HAVE for sure.
Last of the flatbread tour was the Curry Chicken Flatbread ($8.50). Lately, I have been on a major Indian cuisine vibe at home, cooking curries almost three times per week, so naturally, I was looking to enjoy this flatbread and wasn’t disappointed. Remember, the main spices found in most curry are coriander, cumin, and turmeric, so when tasting a decent curry, I’m looking for these flavor profiles. This flatbread wasn’t authentic in that sense, but provided enough flavor for me to be happy. Plus, for the price, this is the most filling flatbread and best deal on the menu.
Moving off the flatbreads, my sweet tooth kicked in! Kafe Hub focuses on local vendors, many of which are residents within the eatery’s co-working space. There is a conference room and other amenities, such as free wifi for entrepreneurs to get work done, host meetings, and of course luncheons. The locally sourced desserts are from amazing bakers throughout Palm Beach County and the City of Riviera Beach. While many of the desserts change each month; each was exceptional, moist and scrumptious.
Following dessert, I found myself eyeing a sandwich being served to a beautiful lady sitting across from us at the bar. I walked over, planning to introduce myself and ask what sandwich she ordered, but her boyfriend came out of the restroom looking like James Harrison, so I quickly backslid to my stool.
I did get the name of the sandwich though—the Turkey Brie Panini ($8.95), which came with Roasted Turkey, Brie Cheese, Berry Sauce and Applewood Bacon. This delicious sandwich made me feel like I was eating in a quaint Parisian café, so of course, I had to order a cold Vanilla Hazelnut Caramel latte ($4.75).
You would think that I had enough right? Wrong! I wanted more. I had been sharing all my food with my greedy godson and cameraman Korey, so my hunger hadn’t been satisfied! I needed just one more sandwich and a salad to satisfy my veggie requirement of the day!
I went for the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Panini ($7.95) that came with chunks of jerk chicken served with a sweet and spicy jerk slaw. I found this sandwich to be tasty with a hint of spice from the jerk slaw. Allspice is usually the overwhelming taste in jerk seasoning, but I appreciated slight hints of garlic in this sandwich; both welcomed and unexpected.
Our last and arguably, most heathy entrée was that of the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Salad ($8.95)—a beautifully Spring Mix Salad with fresh cucumbers, diced tomatoes, and topped with chunks of jerk chicken and avocado! Make sure you request their house made salad dressing for this refreshing entrée as well.
Kafe Hub had so much more to offer in their hearty soups, waffles, oatmeal, wines, beers, and other culinary offerings, that I simply couldn’t get them all in two visits! The drive from Miami to Riviera is a little over an hour, but worth each mile and minute! The atmosphere is positive, vibrant and inviting! The staff was super friendly and the owner is one of a kind.
If you happen to be in the West Palm Beach area, or making your way to the shorelines of Riviera Beach, make sure you give this place a try, you won’t regret it! You can reach Kafe Hub at (561) 557-8704.
